The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a federal program that allows current and past temporary residents (Temporary Foreign Workers and International Students) of Canada to apply for their permanent residency. This program is based on a Pass/Fail test. The clearly defined objective criteria are used to conclude majority of the applications in a quick manner (usually without a personal interview).

- The occupation must be included in NOC Skill level 0, OR A/B
- Depending upon their occupation, they much achieve a minimum level in the designated language tests such as the IELTS, CELPIP or the TEF.
